Do You Ever Wonder About Your Life Purpose?
Do you ever wonder about your life purpose, why you're here and how you may live in alignment with your center?
You're not alone.
I think that everyone wonders this at some point in their life. For others, this question permeates every fiber of their being. Ancient mystics, like Rumi, have written about this topic and the words land so universally because they are not only beautiful but relatable.
If you've ever received a personal email from me, you'll also receive that Rumi quote above. It helps me remember that my path is mine alone and sometimes I'll be drawn to explore topics that are different than the "norm" or different than the people I mingle with daily. I like to include this quote in my emails because this is something worth remembering. I imagine that it makes my email recipients smile, or pause and ponder, or all of the above.
So, why are you here?
What is your purpose?
How has it evolved and been molded over your years on Earth thus far and what is your relationship to these responses?
These questions serve as gentle guides along the path of introspection.
I leave you with another question from the wise mystic, Rumi. This question doesn't sit digitally below my email signature but rather has been staring me down as a post it on my desk.
Yes, yes I do make regular visits to myself. For me these travels come in the shape of yoga, meditation, astrology, daydreaming, reflection, writing, etc.
I thought that was the end of the answer for me until I widened my view on this question.
What does it mean to make space for the work/service that we feel magnetically drawn to? Is that a form of visiting yourself? Turning towards the previously cast aside lyrics of our lives, the half-written novels, the vision board images...these too are visits to consider.
Bon voyage!
