Road Trip Recap: Day 3 (Montreal)

Do you know that feeling when you arrive somewhere and are greeted with a synchronicity that lands with such potency you just know you're in the right place?

We found this outside of our Airbnb apartment...a little piece of home!

Arrival in Montreal was exciting but I was already feeling a bit run down from the pace of the trip. We explored and then I tested out the pillow for a power nap before we strolled the gorgeous Rue St. Paul (Montreal's oldest street that you easily feel like you are in Europe when you walk down) in Old Town (the neighborhood we stayed in) to find dinner.

We ended up at at a brewery that we liked so much, we would end up visiting almost every day of our trip to Montreal. It was walkable, the poutine was amazing and we loved the place.

NF's lyrics scroll through my mind, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

We did have one fancy rooftop dinner that we'll learn about tomorrow by our encyclopedic tour guide, Francis.

Brady took this of me and Sean just before we left for dinner.

I didn't journal too much on this day because I was tired and trying to take in Montreal. We had lots of laughs at dinner trying to use google translator to teach us how to say "Check please," in French but most tries were epic failures.

Back to the apartment to rest up for a full day of discovery and family negotiations of what to do next. Montreal had lots in store for us including but not limited to: a mountain hike in the wrong footwear, a jaw-dropping performance, spiders, botanical joy and a racoon in pure daylight.
